Terms of Use
These terms govern the By Tutors websites and academy portals. By signing in or using the service, you agree to them. If you are a parent or guardian, you also agree on behalf of the student.
The service
By Tutors provides personalised tuition: in-centre (Offline) micro-groups and live Online classes, plus portals for timetable, homework, tests, notes, attendance, fees, and related academy tools. Admission is by trial or staff enrolment. There is no public self sign-up.
Accounts
- We issue a Login ID and password. Keep them confidential.
- You must not share a login or try to access another person’s account.
- We may suspend an account for misuse, unpaid fees (where that is our policy), or to protect the academy.
- You may delete an account from Account (Offline) or Profile (Online), or by emailing admin@bytutors.academy. See the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Disrupt classes, harass others, or post unlawful or inappropriate content
- Upload malware or attempt to break into the portals
- Record or redistribute live classes, notes, or other students’ work without permission
- Use AI practice tools to cheat on school or board exams
Classes, Zoom, and recordings
Online classes may use Zoom. You need a working device, internet, and (where we ask) the Zoom app. Meeting links and passwords are for enrolled students and staff only. Cloud recording, if enabled on our Zoom account, is for academy use, not public posting.
Fees
Course fees, due dates, and refund rules are as communicated at admission or on the Fees screen. Unpaid fees may affect access to classes. Tutor salary and payouts inside the Online portal are internal academy processes, not a public payment product.
Academic results
We teach in small groups and track progress. We do not guarantee any board exam rank, mark, or admission outcome.
Content and intellectual property
Academy notes, curriculum, software, and branding belong to By Tutors or our licensors. Student homework remains the student’s, with a licence for us to store, mark, and show it to the assigned tutor and staff for teaching.
Availability
We aim to keep the portals available but they may go down for maintenance, hosting, or Zoom/provider outages. We are not liable for missed class time caused by your device, internet, or third-party services.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by Indian law, By Tutors is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for a claim relating to the websites or portals is limited to the tuition fees you paid us for the three months before the claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction, unless a mandatory consumer-protection venue applies.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page is the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
